The gateway to Provence
an ideal departure point for visiting the region

  • Roman Heritage

Orange's UNESCO protected 2000 year-old Roman Theatre is one of the best preserved in the world. It is also the stage for some spectacular opera's every year in July, organised by the Choregies d' Orange. As some artists stay in Villa Aurenjo, you may occasionally hear them rehearsing! Other Roman cities like Avignon, Nimes, Arles and Vaison-la-Romaine are nearby.

  • Colorful Markets

You never get bored strolling the brocante markets in Provence. There are many local markets, amongst others in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon. One of the bigger markets can be found in L’Isle-sure-la-Sorgue, which is 40 minutes by car.

  • Delicious Restaurants

In Orange you can find several good restaurants where food is prepared with love and devotion. Or go a little further, there are many great restaurants to be found in the area.

  • Beautiful Wineries

In the heart of the Rhône Valley the winemakers await you to discover their incredible wines. Have a great lunch at Châteauneuf-du-Pape and enjoy the breathtaking view of the valley.
